Tis' the season to be - overly competitive with regard to a relatively trivial matter!
The Annual (and Bi-Continental) Deehan Christmas Tree Competition
This year both teams have taken time out of their busy days to decorate a tree in order to impress others! with no notable goal other than they're own self satisfaction.
As usual cast you're votes on the left.
Leave comments below and try not be too kind...
Team A -
Having derived their name from the heartwarming fact that despite being physically far away from the rest of the family - they still remain as close as ever. It's Team Apart-Tight! This year they have opted for the criminally underused Christmas Hippo theme.
Team B -
The Pre-Emigrant Team (or "Irish" as they where once known) have shown us with this tree what really can be achieved when you're in Kildare and the TV isn't working.
Vote on the left, not on the right.
ReplyDeleteInternet votes have to have equal billing this year as asking folks to travel to both locations to examine each tree and vote 'in location' would be too expensive....You'd have to keep booze supply in both Maynooth and Centurion.
ReplyDeleteTree A...
ReplyDeleteno star atop, not even a fairy.
A tree uncrowned
does not make me merry!
Tree A
ReplyDeleteInteresting floor decorations, a Hipposantamus I believe. But I would have to question your wiring, tell me again what are you working at? Happy Christmas, from the Nolan's
Hip...hippo..ray
ReplyDeletefor team A
you might not be crowned
but for true African style you're surely renowed
Have to throw the South African vote in with the hippo! Team A! All the best to the Deehan clan for a great Christmas. Ben, Tertia, Rob and Nadine in Perth.
ReplyDeleteBen, you're confused. You're not an SA vote anymore. I'll hold you to the cricket and rugby litmus test. Do you support the Aussies or Sud Afrikans? According to your family in SA you've crossed the Rubicon and there's no going back. Therefore vote on merit, Tree B. Please recast your vote accordingly. ~ Darach
DeleteHave ye put on that much weight since I last saw you? :)
ReplyDeleteHo Ho Ho your such a funny woman, it call being traditionally built here in South Africa
DeleteI hear that Paul Kenny had a hand in Tree B and also that hes a hero.. i really think thats going to sway a lot of votes
ReplyDeleteWhat a mix !!! Hippos and Xmas boxes!!! The colour schemes are representative of different cultures. Jean and Dara you spent too much time on safari those rustic colours and wild life. Will not decide yet, the cosmopolitan Kildare team got the Xmas colour cheer!!! Will reflect on the thought and meaning! Like Mandela on top of the tree!!! with the other photo. Jean where is your Mandela????
ReplyDeleteI looooooooooooooove the Apart-Tight team!!!! and the hippo of course!! :)
ReplyDeletecall the pretorians, the centurions have failed to provide a second tree, ...the competition that always reminds us that marriage is a relationship of two trees one is always beautiful colourful artistic thematic and inspiring , and the other is Darachs.
ReplyDeletePW xx

ReplyDeleteGonna have to go with the Apart-Tight regime.
