This is a very hard decision this year. Tree A has the atmosphere of the arctic pole with wee peguins and polar bears on a white floor. Tree B is very well decorated with gold and red balls and beautifully wrapped matching presents at the foot of the tree. But there has to be a winner... The explorer in me is voting for the polar Tree... But the warmth of tree B pulls me in...
I had to vote for tree A because I prefer "cool" colors over "warm" ones. But it was a very difficult decision. I almost voted for B by virtue of the lights on the packages alone. Nice touch!
While both trees are visually striking,tree A has an elegance that appeals to me. I am a Malt drinker and my favourite Malt whiskies are The McCallan and Glenmorangie so therefore class appeals to me and tree A has class,ergo it gets my vote.It will also get the votes of all those who give me Malt whiskies for Christmas. Please note!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am called Murph,Spud and other names best suited to the golf course.
For warmth,so needed in Ireland, Tree B has it. For chill and a cool breeze, so needed in South Africa Tree A does it for me. Bet you can't wait for the chocolate animals in A and the unopened whiskey in B. Enjoy Jay & Mel Maree
Too bad we can't mix and match. We like Tree A's animals (is that a makeshift nativity scene?), but Tree B wins for the lights and balls. We also like how Tree B is appropriately labeled...
Tree B is clearly a knock off of the 2008 winner...with a cynical attempt to mask the fact with the provision of a fairy and some very large balls...what sort of a person would do such a thing...is there no integrity any more in international sport?....Tree A is a knock off of nothing, I like its uniqueness, the fact that its creator has purposely laid it 11 degrees from the perpendicular..... a beautiful Pisa like effect which immediately catches the eye, I like the way the stuffed animals blend so beautifully with their surroundings even the lifelike sun tanned penguins ......and truly the way the artful creator has draped the lights on only one side of the tree ....absolute genius....leaving the remainder of the tree stark and barren, the viewer is left confused but in thrall to the genius of this artist........Bravo artist A ....shame on you artist B, I think you should be banned from competition for a suitable period....say 11 1/2 months....
The talent of these artists is self-evident in these creations. One evokes a picturesque image of a snowy Christmas with cute bears and reindeer - in true Walt Disney mode. The other is a traditional tree decorated to inspire the anticipation of present unwrapping.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to plump for tree A though - I'm a sucker for cutsey animals :).
Tree B - artfully placed to blend with the exterior vista. A total visual experience - warm and cosy - which is no bad thing taking into account the cost of oil.
Tree A - a polar bear's delight - but too chilly for these hard times!

That's a well-placed angel.. I mean, fairy on Tree B. However, not too sure about that Star of Bethlehem on Tree A.
